Some Common Questions

What do you think is important for every project?

Brand: Your brand is more than your logo. Your website must reflect your personality and your message, creating an engaging and trusted resource for your audience.
Practical Solutions: We find the most efficient yet effective solutions for your staff and your budget while still meeting your specific requirements.
Content Management Systems: We want to put you in the driver’s seat and ensure you have the tools you need to manage and grow your website over time.
Responsive Design: Browsing devices are evolving, and your site needs to be accessible on a variety of devices. We build all of our sites on an adaptive framework to ensure the best viewing experience for your audience.
Accessibility: Although specific ADA requirements may change for each project, we are always mindful of the various audiences who may be interacting with your site.

Wait, what is a Content Management System?

We want to give you the power to update and maintain your website, that’s why we prefer to build all of our sites on a content management system. A CMS allows you to publish, edit and modify content from an online interface, perfect to manage workflow in a collaborative environment. That’s why we tout Drupal and WordPress (both popular CMSs), but have experience with many more. Give us a call for more details.

So what is this ``Drupal`` I've been hearing so much about?

Drupal is a free and open-source content management system (CMS). It is a highly-robust, highly-customizable framework that can support everything from blogs to eCommerce to educational and government websites. In fact, sites like the whitehouse.gov and Amnesty International run on Drupal. And since it’s free and open-source, there is a worldwide group of contributors constantly enhancing and refining the system as new technologies are developed.

Big changes are coming to Drupal in 2016.  Look for Drupal 8!

...and what about WordPress?

Like Drupal, WordPress is a freely-available, open-source content management system that powers nearly half of all websites throughout the world! While it may not be as natively extensible and robust as Drupal, as a result of it’s popularity,  we’d be surprised if we could not find a turnkey add-on (aka “plugin”) to meet your project’s requirements with little-to-no custom development.

Okay. So which one is right for me?

That’s a great question and neither are a “one size fits all” platform. Drupal and WordPress both have their strengths and limitations. Having build scores of websites on both WordPress or Drupal, we’re confident that we can collect your project requirements then objectively guide you down the correct path.
